EU Projects

ISWA collaborates on a number of EU funded projects, acting as a communication and dissemination partner in consortiums tackling varying issues in and around waste management. With these activities ISWA acts as knowledge multiplier, promoting sustainable waste management according to its mission.  ISWA also acts as representative of the waste management industry and conduit to other industrial stakeholders. Please see below for some of active projects.

On March 24th the online event Going Circular: European Innovation Projects for a new economy. Where 8 different EU projects presented themselves during a two hour session. Watch the recording: https://youtu.be/94eAnDFrQfQ

Citizen science and co-creation tools to design odour pollution control measures at local, national and global levels with CSOs, NGOs, local public authorities, odour emitting industries and academia.

ALMA Logo

ALMA - Advanced Light Materials and Processes for the Eco-Design of Electric Vehicles

ALMA will develop a novel battery electric vehicle (BEV) structure for a passenger car with 45% weight reduction potential compared to current baseline at affordable costs.

Decoat Logo

DECOAT - Recycling of coated and painted textile and plastic materials

DECOAT will enable circular use of textiles and plastic parts with (multilayer) ‘coatings’, which are typically not recyclable yet. Novel triggerable smart polymer material systems and the corresponding recycling processes will be developed.
